Hello lovlies. A very quick update today.

Now I don't have  a lot of dosh myself, but I do have a main coon, Chloe, and I love her to itty bitty bits! (If you can use itty bitty in the same sentence with a coon!)

So, I have a scrap kit for sale, Its been up for a while and its only 100 points. All sales from this for this month will be given to ~FeatherRain-Sketches so she may cash them out to help pay for the piles of vet bills.

So if you've been thinking about buying it, now would be good





In other news, bushfires have been running rampant around the south of Tasmania. Yesterday an entire town was pretty much reduced to a pile of ash Not sure yet on the total count of property lost, the fireies are still out there trying to contain it Cross your fingers for low heats, less wind and some long sort after rain!

Ive had a heap of international friends message to see how I am. Im in the NW, and not near the fires, however it is still very very hot here. Too hot to venture out in the middle of the day. We took the kids swimming at the beach yesterday from 7-8pm because it wasnt cool enough until then!!

Thank the heavens that 2012 is over and done with! Phew. What a prick of a year.

Had a pretty epic NYE in case anyone was wondering. We went to a friends house, got pretty sloshed and slept in tents in the backyard. Yup, no drink driving around me! Ill kick yo ass!

Been thinking long and hard about resolutions. I don't usually make them, and when I do, I pick unrealistic things that make me feel badly when I fail (Like losing weight, HA like that actually happens) so this year, Im going to try for simple and positive, and incorporate things I actually can achieve!

Goal 1: Read 20 books. Will be using GoodReads to track my progress. You can follow me too if you like [link]

Goal 2: To release one preemie, miscarriage or stillborn item each week. That makes 52 for the year. I have 3 drafted already so I'm well on the way with that one. You can follow my progress for that on my blog here [link]

Goal 3: To complete a Project 52! Ill be doing mine with They also have a project 12 for those who want to do it only once a month. Come and join me! My theme will be "How does my garden grow?" Documenting a year in my garden.

Goal 4: To aim for a new scrap kit release every week. Again, I have plenty I have already made and not actually submitted, so I should be ok there too. I found a site today that lists strange, odd and funny holidays, weeks and theme days (did you know Jan 5th is bean day? BEANS!) So I want to try and incorporated some of these into the kits. Even if its just 5 bean embellishments or something! Again, this will be listed on my blog, as well as submitted here on DA.

Goal 5: To upload stock at least once a week. I have a nasty nasty habit of shooting stock, and leaving it in the stock folder on my HD. Srsly, there are hundreds of images there from 11/12 that I need to put up. Even if its only 5, thats better then nothing hey!

Thank the heavens! This year has been nothing but a prick! There has been so much crap, so much emotional drain, so much BLARGH that I'll be glad to see the year behind me.

I keep telling myself, if I can just make it through this year, then the next one will be better. Fingers crossed!

So today Im going to spam everyone with stock because I have been slack and still have stuff from 2011 on the HD. I feel Ive neglected DA this year. Maybe I was just burnt out after my run as a CV. I think that took more from me then I realised. Not that it wasn't amazing because I had an absolute blast, but when you also have to deal with tards on a daily basis, it gets draining. Remember that when your talking with a CV, they have probably already been yelled at by someone not liking their DD's, their contests, their winners, their updates.... Go hug a CV!

So where was I? Stock! Yes! I have a crapload, so what the hell Ill share it. If you get sick of the 100's of flowers and clouds feel free to stop watching me Hey, I offer unrestricted resources, may as well make it a HuGE collection, you know, something for everyone

Holy shoot. It only took me like 4 hours to notice Yup, thats a long time, seems its about dinnertime for me when they change, and I usually go and check them before getting the kids sorted for bed but tonight was a little different being Christmas eve here in Aus! (Yup, the kids are in bed and eagerly awaiting Santa and presents! We downloaded Santa Tracker for the phone and they watched it count down until Santa left the North Pole and then went to bed.)

It is actually a perfect way to end whats been a pretty amazing day! See, today Nic gave me my Christmas present early, because it couldn't be wrapped. Im really glad he didnt try to wrap it either because it would have been very loud MEOWING all night.

Now I know I know, people are going to think Grr pets are not for Christmas. Well we already have 2 shelter cats and we are firm believers in pets are forever so no need to worry there, she is certainly wanted! I am in love with her markings and her fluffs and her tiny little meows. The shelter wasn't going to let Nic adopt her today being Christmas eve but when they realised that a) We had 2 cats from them already and b) I was the "lovlie lady" that donated a huge pile of crocheted cat toys last week that they would be happy to let us take her home. So our household now consists of 2 adults, 3 kids, 3 cats and 2 rats. Sadly, Nic is still the only male Poor thing is so left out.

Also today, my peas started flowering and my silver beet started looking healthy (sad seedlins went in 2 days ago, ahh discounted seedlings, I do love the!) Im picking lettuce tomorrow to use in a salad for Christmas dinner and Im very excited that my garden is starting to produce edible stuff The Broccoli looks like it'll be ready soon too!

Oh I also finished a new micro prem pattern today and found out that Spotlight will have 30-50% of yarn on Boxing day. So I can stock up on prem yarns if I need to for cheap!

So lets recap. DD, Kitty, Kitty toys, Handmade candy, Growing garden, carols with the kids and YARN. Yep. Today was pretty spectacular.

Ok actually, I lied. Some of it wasn't taken recently. I have this habit of taking pics and just dumping them in my "stock" folder to sit for months and months.

I am going to try hard to get some up at least every other day

Also wondering if I have the largest collection of unrestricted flowers I can't help myself, they are just fun to photograph!

So what else? Well right now Im having a battle between tears and bogers. Yup its the dreaded heyfever season and its playing up really bad this year. I wanted to rip my eyeballs out for a while earlier. Alas, they probably wouldnt be able to slot straight back in.

My car will be back on the road this week so there is another plus!

I won a mini makeover too! I got a free haircut and eyebrow wax That was pretty exciting.

Hmm what else? I forget OH yes! The girls have been bugging me to make some more costumes for them so they can "do stock mum" so when they go on school holidays this month Ill get stuck into that. Gotta love how enthusiastic they are about it all.

Oh boy the festive season is fast upon us!
I am hand making a lot of presents this year, Ill get piccies AFTER the people have received them Don't want to spoil the surprise.

Ive been crocheting and baking and gardening and having all sorts of fun these last few weeks. Yes, my garden IS growing! My tomatoes are flowering, I have strawberries, raspberries and blackberries fruiting, the capsicum started flowering today and my peach tree.. WOAH full! Been googling ideas to use them up and found some for peach and strawberry jam, and peach wine! Yup, Im gonna make wine! My friends think Ive gone hippie Well, it sure beats paying for them at the supermarket!
On the crochet front Ive been working on some barbie clothes patterns, because Im putting together a bunch for the girls for Christmas and thought I may as well share what Im doing. So if you wanted to make some yourself, head on over to my blog [link]

Infact, It is where I buy almost all of my supplies to make all the premie and angel baby items that I do. First prize, a $300 voucher.

$300 worth of supplies, I could clothe and give dignity to over 150 angel babies and their families, from all across Australia.

Unfortunately this is a voting contest. I have NEVER taken part in a popularity contest before, much less begged for help to win one, but this would mean so much to me, and would help so so many families in their darkest hour.

So little time!

Man have I been flat out lately. Holiday to mums was great, had a good time, saw lots of cool things but decided I can't live in such a BIG city, too many peoples!
I bought home just under 6kg of yarn

Have been crocheting my arse off so I can save enough to make some little body repairs to my car, runs are ok, looks.. ehhhhhhhh yeah

Lets see what else? Class! Left one of my classes, because apparently I am "too smart" for it, and am on the verge of beating the living shit out of one of the tards in the art class.  Lets not go into it, I could winge about her and her stares and snarkyness for HOURS.

I did start a horticulture taster that goes for 8 weeks, and today I dug up my yard so I could put some veggies in. Now keep in mind I kill EVERYTHING. Heck the ONLY reason my roses are alive is because I dont touch them, so we'll see how this newfound gardening stuff goes huh HNGGGGGGGGGGGG I know NOTHING about growing anything hahahahaha! Tips? I need em!

Hi peoples!

As you can see, toys took a massive lead on my poll (what stock do you want to see next) so Im uploading some today YAY. I maybe, kinda, pilfered the kids toys to photograph. Ahh well, they eagerly helped lol! If you have any other suggestions do let me know (no model stock, not doing that till I get teeth back!) Im itching to get back into it.

Ho hum what else? OH I have been driving! YAY SHELL. After having only my learners and not even driving for like 13 years I am finally driving... everywhere! With any luck by Christmas Ill have my full licence and Nic won't have to tag along for every trip. Then look out stock world, Ill be everywhere!
Im also heading to my mummy's house in a week and a day! For a whole week! I have not been on a plane since I was a kid so this could be a little nerve wracking, but I have my nanna with me so that's a plus. My step dad has a bunch of amazingly cool locations he wants to show me so you can bet Ill have OODLES of pics when I get back! Look out Adelaide hahaha! OMG PICS OF CLOUDS FROM THE PLANE! YES. MUST DO. I have to say Im excited. Ive never spent a week away from my kids before, and Ive never been out of Tassie as an adult so yeah

Yeha! I have just finished sorting out all the kids stock, and getting that back in my gallery with updated rules. Phew that was a big lot to do!

Still have a LOT to go, but in doing it by category its making it easier.

Did make a final choice on the contents of this account last night. Have decided that no, I wont add everything else here, this account will be completely resource only. Meaning once Im done putting everything back in, every single deviation in this account will be something you CAN use! Ive got half a gallery with new rules. Half with old or none or from when I first started and my keywords were

So Ive dumped (am in the process of...) the entire lot into storage and Ill be updating each and every one. No biggy. May take me a week or so but the end result will be a nice uniform gallery, with updated rules and better keywords. It also gives me a chance to decide what I want to keep, what I want to turf and what needs to be re-done. Sounds pretty good to me! Actually, its been a cuntface of a week emotionally but you know, Ill get there.

What I was wanting to write about is separation. More specifically the separation of my resources and my arts.
I am considering the idea of closing down ~MammaThatMakes and just putting everything here. Dunno, opinions?
Sometimes I wish I could delete EVERYTHING and start again, but that would just be annoying huh

Other then that.. HAI! Been crocheting heaps, and making lots of patterns for some charity groups. Right now Im working on BOOTIES!   I also appear to be addicted to yarn I CANT HELP BUYING IT! I even put myself on a ban, and I walked out of a store yesterday with 2 more balls My gosh I have a problem Ahh well, least its a useful one!

Hope everyone is well. Im sorry Im not as active as I once was. I just feel like the resource community spirit there once was has vanished. Noone comes to chat anymore. Noone bothers with commenting, noone supports each other and there are hardly any resource features from others. :sigh: I miss when everyone was all YAY stock, YAY idea, YAY support. Where did it go?

Got the last of my teeth pulled out thismorning. I am now toothless.

I cried. Not from pain or anything, but with relief that its finally over. Its done. No more extractions. No more needles. No more sitting in the waiting room feeling like I want to vomit and wishing I could run away.

So now I have to really adjust. Sore, More stitches and achy but I made it, by fuck, I made it!
